GOLDMAN Sachs Group has reported third-quarter profit of $US2.24 billion ($A2.42 billion).
THE bank, based in New York, said it had earnings of $US4.57 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of analysts surveyed by FactSet was for earnings of $US3.21 per share.The investment bank posted revenue of $US8.39 billion in the period, exceeding Street forecasts.
