Missing fisherman found in Vic's east

A FISHERMAN who went missing on his six-metre boat in Victoria's Gippsland Lakes has been found.

THE 67-year-old Johnsonville man set off for a solo fishing trip early on Tuesday and did not return as expected on Wednesday evening.

A search by air and water found the man and safe and well on his boat in the port of Sale, just before 6pm on Thursday, police said in a statement.
